Afghanistan Emergency Appeal

Afghanistan Emergency Appeal

The Afghanistan crisis appeal has been set up to raise emergency funds to send to Afghanistan where more than half of the population is living in poverty.

Only sadaqah to Afghanistan can help those people right now, and with the harsh winter weather coming, speed is of the essence.

Even before it was struck by an earthquake on 22nd June 2022 (causing the deaths of over 1000 people), many people in Afghanistan were already facing terrible hardships as a result of one of the worst droughts in 27 years.

Many of the worst affected regions are rural communities that have been effectively cut off from support due to damaged roads and power supplies.

The head of the World Food Programme called the situation in Afghanistan “the worst humanitarian crisis on earth”. And this is exacerbated by a struggling economy. As a result, 22 million Afghan nationals are expected to face food insecurity before the end of 2022.

This is why Human Relief Mission is asking for donations for the Afghanistan emergency appeal.
